Adios, Hosni

We are glad to see you go. You were not a terrible dictator, certainly not as bad as Stalin, Mao, Hitler, or Saddam. But like most dictators, you did not know when to leave. You could have and should have created and nurtured a democracy. But you did not and now you have been run out of your country.


The days ahead will be challenging. The military will have to figure out how to create an inclusive democracy. And we can all hope that a lousy dictator does not grab power.
