The 60's

If you remember The 1960's with fondness,

You were not there, or you were not paying attention.

I was there and it was not pretty. It began with the assassination of John Kennedy and ended with the assassination of his brother. It also included a church bombing that killed four innocent little girls, the murder of an innocent black man who was driving through Georgia, the murder of Medgar Evers, the three civil rights workers in Mississippi, and a white woman who dared to help in the civil rights movement as well as the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

I remember the political rhetoric of that day as well and while we did not have the 24/7 cycle that we endure today it was as heated as it is today.
